Christopher Korman
Christopher “Chris” Korman, the son of beloved artist Harvey Korman, has established himself as a respected writer-producer with more than 20 years of experience in the entertainment industry, working with a diverse array of writers, comedians, actors, singers, and actresses, serving their branding and marketing needs.
He is the star of “OMG! It’s Harvey Korman’s Son,” a stage production based on his book of the same name, published by BearManor Media in 2020. Touring casinos, performing arts centers, and theaters, the show offers a heartfelt retrospective of Harvey Korman’s illustrious film, television, and voice acting career.
Chris shares intimate stories of his father’s life and work, providing audiences with a unique perspective on the man behind the iconic performances. He is joined on stage by interviewer April Brucker, an author, comedienne, and television personality who hosts “April in Vegas,” a streaming TV chat show produced on location at The English Hotel in the Las Vegas Arts District.
He adds a poignant layer to his performance. Born with hyaline membrane disease, which led to a lack of oxygen to the brain and central nervous system, Chris reveals how his father’s unwavering support and devotion helped him overcome his disability, showcasing the deep bond between father and son.
Following in his late father’s philanthropic tradition, Chris dedicates his time and passion to charity events, especially those supporting special needs causes. He has been actively involved with the Marianne Frostig School for Children with Special Needs, co-hosting the annual tournament for 13 of its 22 years. He was the keynote speaker at a Keshet event focused on high-functioning adults with learning disabilities and was a speaker at a Learning Disabilities Association of America conference, a poignant connection to his father who was the national spokesperson for the association in the 1980s.
Chris is a graduate of Lesley College in Cambridge, MA, where he studied theatre history. He also studied stage management at Colorado Mountain College.
He resides in Las Vegas with his wife of 22 years, Patricia Korman, their son Scott Korman, and their cat Angel.
