the awards won by Broadway superstar Lea Salonga.
Already acclaimed in her home country of the
Philippines, Lea burst onto the scene in the titular
role of Miss Saigon, which began a Broadway streak that
would include Flower Drum Song and Les Misérables, which
led to her involvement in the blockbuster 25th
Anniversary celebration. Lea is known to a younger
generation as the singing voice of Jasmine in Disneys Aladdin and the lead in
Mulan, roles which led to her
induction as a "Disney Legend". A multi-platinum
recording artist who has sold-out Carnegie Hall, Lea
performs to SRO audiences around the world, audiences
who come to hear one of the greatest voices of our time.
